My time at SBS Feast magazine saw me recreating lattice techniques with pieces of paper and folding samosas out of Post-It notes to ensure home cooks could follow the method without fail. Food is my passion and I love averting kitchen disasters simply by improving the method wording and catching any outstanding recipe errors.

After all, there’s nothing more frustrating than realising the flour mentioned in the ingredients isn’t anywhere to be found in the method. A failed cake means wasted time and money… and a very unhappy cook.

I am experienced at setting and maintaining house style; liaising with food editors and testers to resolve queries; spotting and fixing method and ingredient errors; determining appropriate terminology and locating stockists for unusual ingredients; cutting recipes to fit; and creating recipe indexes. I am just as confident working on an entire cookbook as individual features.
